In the mid-1990s, seven entrepreneurs decided to create a pure malt whisky. After long days of research and development, Destilerías y Distribuciones Liber was born. It is a limited company, constituted on May 28th 2001 in Padul, Granada.

The location of our company was chosen for the purity and quality of the water, coming from the thaws and springs of the highest peaks of Sierra Nevada.

At present, sixty-two partners are the strong core of our corporation. The firm has two distinct business lines: the manufacture of products under its own brand name, such as the Embrujo de Granada pure malt whisky, rum, vodka, creams, liqueurs and gins; and an extensive range of on demand products for our customers.
